Laura Grain

We are currently working on getting a series of workshops up and running for various age groups.
These will include:

Printing (inc. Lino, mono, object)
Introduction into basic printing methods and the opportunity to make your own prints. In the second part of the session we will cover basic Lino cutting skills and you will get to design, cut and print your own Lino print.

Creative Embroidery
We will look at different examples of embroidery, have the opportunity to learn traditional stitches or play with developing your own techniques including Laura's own technique and others including painting with thread and using dissolvable fabric to create your own designs.

Collections;Art
Explore how artists use collections within their art and play with making your own artwork based on or using a collection(s)

Material manipulation
Explore different methods of manipulating fabric to create a series of samples. Then design and make your own art work using your favorite techniques.

Soft toy design and make
Laura has spent 15 years making dolls and plush toys for various designers. Learn how to design and make your own in this workshop for all ages.
Bring your own drawings to transform into a doll or recreate your pet in plush form - it's completely up to you! Create the base shape out of fabric and learn how to embroider designs or faces and how to add embellishments and clothing.
