Foreign Bodies, 2012
A series of work inspired by The Mutter Museum's collection of swallowed objects. A series of embroidered hangings were made for this project (currently not all are pictured below) represented in each hanging is a object that has been removed from the human body. The colours and patterns of each embroidery are inspired by images of bodily organs. Three of these swallowed objects were also made into oversized edible sculptures; a rosary made of bread, a tooth made of jelly and a safety pin made of sugar.
